A friend of mine was nearing completion of his new home in Montauk and upon inspecting, I immediately noticed the high-quality of work and learned Pink Shirt Construction was the Contractor. After several interviews with Marc & Alison as well as receiving competitive bids, we hired them to build our creative vision for a Montauk Beach Cottage.  We’ve had disappointing experiences with contractors before, but this decision turned out to be the right one.

Not only did Marc implement the same high-quality craftsmanship, but he wasinstrumental in providing key suggestions utilizing his experience and imagination tocreate andenhance our vision.  The pride he takes in his craftsmanship and the pure joy he seems to take in the actual building process is not only evident in the final product, but on a ‘day to day’ basis.  Both Marc and Alison were ‘hands on’ and most pleasant to deal with in solving on- site problems or researching and providing more cost-efficient alternatives.  In addition, every single worker or sub-contractor they brought on the job were a pleasure to have in our home.

Suffice it to say, it’s not often that you want to have dinner & drinks with your Contractor, after the job is done, but that’s exactly our experience with Marc & Alison and Pink Shirt Construction.

PinkShirt has an impressive commitment to logistics - from the subcontractors they hire, to mapping out and effectively planning for the day-to-day and week-to-week schedule of construction. We were out of our home for just about the exact time they estimated, which helped reduce the stress level of what was a heavy, deeply involved project to add several rooms, completely rewire the house, add central air conditioning, duct work, a high-efficiency heating system, a new kitchen and a new roof - in effect, nearly a complete rebuild of our property. Without this attention to detail many weeks would have passed with very little progress, but they were notably efficient, thanks to Marc, his foreman and the rest of his team, as well as the small army of contractors that were in and out of our home every day.
